This camera is the original range finder camera that was produced only a minority from 1947. The Gamma mod.I is exclusive use bayonet mount, so there is an interchangeable lens hardly. However, the mod.II /III were changed into the Leica screw mount.
The most characteristic system in this camera is a shutter. Two curved sheets of metal plates are used to the shutter curtain. The protrusion of the front like the grip is the edge of a way as the shutter curtain. The shock of the shutter is big.
There is not a roll return system, so must use double magazine. The plastic cartridge made of the "AP" is able to store in this. The film cutter like the Exakta VX is furnished. Use this cutter when film ends.
The shutter speed of the Gamma mod.I is B. 1/20〜1/1000 seconds. The Gamma mod.II/III was added 1〜1/10 seconds. Even the synchronize point of contact was added to the final model of Gamma mod.III.
